PGI Dive Club Minutes of June 28, 2012
The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm.

Secretary's Report: Minutes from the 5/24/2012 meeting were read and approved with no corrections.

Treasurer's Report: Current balance is $1355.11 . We owe $624 to Key Dives for our July 14/15 trip. $731.11 will be carried forward.

Membership: No new members were in attendance.

Old Business: Eight members have signed up to help with the PGICA Backyard BBQ on Sept. 19th. A band called Brown Suga will be playing at the event. The cost of the BBQ will be paid for by the civic association. $5.00 and a dish are required to buy tickets at the PGICA office.

New Business: Doug Rhees, president of BSICA has requested that some residents of BSI are interested in our club. They are not permitted to join, but were informed that they are welcome to attend our programs and dives. He will forwarding names and emails so they can be included in our club news mailings. As of now there are only seven divers going on the July Key Largo trip. We have 11 credits to use, of which Uwe, and Josh Nodarse are the only two utilizing credits. Frank has contacted Keys Dive to see what arrangements will be made for the remaining credits. The club approved the expenditure of $25 for first aid supplies that we will be purchasing. Eddie Beezley will look into what costs are involved in renting O2 equipment for our club to have on hand at beach and shore dives. Frank will be emailing members with info about upcoming Venice Beach and Blue Heron Bridge shore dives scheduled for this summer. Frank will contact members to arrange another dining get together for August like we had in March at Beef O'Brady's.

Dive Calendar: Frank will be attending the sinking of the 165' US Coast Guard Cutter, Mohawk on Monday, July 2. Key Largo Dive Trip, July 14 & 15, Venice Beach Dive on July 21. Check the website calendar for information and dive schedules.

Next meeting: No meeting in July, instead members may attend the annual Lobster Seminar at Fantasea Scuba from 6 - 8 PM on Wednesday, July 18th. Information on laws and regulations, how to catch lobsters, door prizes and 15% reduced cost of purchases on lobster equipment will be included in the evening.
